Hello.
I shall give you a brief overview of my expedition accomplishments to date.

Thirteen years ago,after my mothers death, (she was a volunteer worker at the Royal Children's Hospital in Melbourne), I had an idea to get a herd of camels and trek across Australia for a charity. Not knowing a single thing about camels, Australian deserts, expedition work, or how to organise such an event I spent years tirelessly "chipping away" at the project after catching wild camels, training them training myself, making all of the equipment, saddles and gaining the necessary skills for such an expedition.

The expedition took eighteen months of walking through some of Australia's harshest deserts and finally through the city of Melbourne to reach the Royal Children's Hospital to say thank you to Moira Kelly and the Children First Foundation for their work changing and saving children's lives. Moira Kelly is the guardian of the separated conjoined twins, Trishna and Krishna. Infact we arrived in Melbourne at the same time as their separation operation.

The foundation awarded Ros and myself the title of Ambassador for the Children First Foundation. A letter of congratulations was received from the Prime minister of Australia.

Only a handful of others have completed similar expeditions and ours was the only expedition since the ill fated Burke and Wills expedition of 1864 that has walked through a major capital city in Australia.

My next expedition will be in 2013 from Perth to Sydney, crossing over the famous Sydney Harbour Bridge to the Sydney Opera House, walking solo over 4000kms through some of Australia's harshest environments and again to support Moira Kelly and the Children First Foundation.

The final expedition I have planned for will take me across the United States of America from the West Coast to the East Coast and again in support of Moira Kelly's Children First Foundation.

To date, I have camel trekked a distance of over 10,000kms in Australia with the Darwin to Melbourne Thank You Camel Expedition 2008-2009 being the longest expedition in one go.

Currently, I am camel trekking on Beltana Station in the Flinders Ranges in South Australia. Outback Australian Camels offers 5 and 7 day camel expedition safaris visiting such areas as Lake Torrens, Northern Flinders Ranges, Puttupa Springs and Tony's Gap.
