I've invested $5000 in a PC and $5000 on a mac, you get what you pay for plain and simple.

I've had no issues with either OS, both are great but both were designed for different users. Macs, video editing, graphics design, web development, basically artsy users. Windows is for programmers!

@maw88ify They're using macs but the ones they're using are configured much higher than the highest mac pro config from apples website.

But, macs are also built to last which I like! I have a mac from 2002 that works perfectly today, my 2011 mac is pretty cool. I'll be getting a mac pro soon...

At this point in the game use what works! Windows 7 and OS 10.7 are very stable and if you're a web developer chances are you'll be on a mac(same goes for graphics or video editing). If your a software developer use both and have a linux partition to check or make sure it works on everything. ...

@Intronetz for app developers I'd choose something in the lines of VPS or dedicated/managed servers. Chunkhost or Webair are my favorite providers.
