there is another way of getting the base:
1. put a small wafer-thin bit of cardboard on the front layer of the base,
2. go into front view,
3. use corner edit tool and make the cardboard the exact shape,
4.delete the score board,
5. make the bit of cardboard cover all layers and Voila! you have it
