I remember one Christmas (mid 90's) the old fella was sat on the floor in town playing his cardboard guitar, with one of his bollocks hanging through a hole in his trousers. How about that for Christmas spirit!!!! Interesting times.

Fantastic series. Such a shame that the Beeb screwed up so badly. At least we got the radio series tho, which was just as good.

Balfe kind of took over there, but i do like the guy. I wish Gary and Alan had got a chance to speak tho - real stalwarts. Copey was never gonna turn up, tho was he? I would have thought less of him for doing so, and maybe that's the point. Nice shout for Mick Houghton too.
