Good info, but FYI, that's not an O-ring. An O-ring is an elastomer ring normally used for seals. That's called a circlip, C-clip, retaining ring or snap ring.

It's funny that in the original cartoon, all of the characters had Western features, complexions and hair, while in the new movie, the cast is completely, unmistakeably Japanese. That seems to be typical of the difference between Japanese animation and Japanese live action movies.

It's a good jingle, but to me the early 1970s "Get a bucket of chicken, finger lickin' good, have a barrel of fun, good bye ho hum" was better.

And it's just not the same if it's not in a bucket.

Amazing how cheap TVs have become. It's cheaper to buy a thin, light 42" HDTV today than it was to buy a big, heavy 25" CRT set back then.

I wonder what the fascination was with balsam in the 70s. There was also Wella Balsam shampoo.

As much as we may think it, time really isn't so neatly divided into ten year blocks where every ten years it's immediately out with the old and in with the new. It's a slow, continuous progression.
