Traditional two-day town centre event with camping. The entry limit of 225 was achieved both days.

Reading University won top honours, taking the Senior Eights, the Elite Coxed Fours and Womens Elite Singles.

Molesey won the Intermediate 2 Eights, Junior 18 and Womens Junior 18 Quads; and Southampton University won the Intermediate 3 Eights, Intermediate 1 Coxed Fours and Womens Novice Coxed Fours.

Hereford's new racing format divided the events into three divisions. Finals for each division were raced before the next division began.

Intermediate 2 crews and above raced 1750 metres from a stake boat start.

Intermediate 3, Novice, Veteran & Juniors raced 1000 metres, free start.

Following a Saturday sprint regatta on 23 May, Monmouth Sunday events qualified with Hereford City Regatta on Monday 25 May towards a Victor
Ludorum prize of £750, with £250 to the runner up.
