How to Unclog a Sink: Household Plumbing Tips from Roto-Rooter

696 views 2 months ago
http://pixvid.me/UnclogSink Clogged sinks are a common occurrence in most homes, and the buildup that leads to a clogged sink usually occurs over time. Kitchen sinks tend to clog from a combination of grease, soap and food buildup. Bathroom sinks are usually clogged by hair, toothpaste, and toiletry items like cottonballs, swaps, and facial scrub pads.

Can't seem to fix that clog on your own? Give us a call: 888-302-4368

To clear a minor sink clog, be sure to remove the sink strainer and/or drain plug first. FIll the sink half-way then place a small sink plunger over the drain and give it a few forceful strokes before allowing the sink to drain.

If plunging doesn't work, remove and clear the U-shaped P-Trap underneath the sink. Be sure to use gloves and plenty of old towels as this tends to be a messy job.

If that still doesn't work or you feel that the job is over your limits, be sure to contact a professional. You can easily schedule an appointment online at http://www.rotorooter.com or give us a call at 1-888-302-4368.
