Rooted In Peace

'ROOTED in PEACE' challenges viewers to examine their values as Americans and human beings. Today we are at war within ourselves, with our environment, and with the world. Director and award-winning filmmaker, Greg Reitman takes us on film journey to take notice, stop the cycle of violence, and proactively seek ways to find personal and geopolitical balance. Relying on memoir but also interviews with such luminaries and activists as Deepak Chopra, His Holiness The Dalai Lama, music legends Donovan and Pete Seeger, film director David Lynch, Noble Peace Laureate Mairead Maguire, Ted Turner, Archbishop Desmond Tutu, Doug Suisman (the chief architect of the Arc Project) neuroscientist Dan Seigel and many others, Reitman heeds former president Bill Clinton's dictum: "If we just stop and think, the world would be a better place." And so in asking viewers to do the same, Reitman poses the basic question: How do we want to live?
Sparking a personal quest to understand human consciousness, ROOTED in PEACE provokes viewers to return to balance within themselves, among humankind, in the natural world. It awakens them to a more peaceful reality and asks them to find the ways and means to fulfill their deep desire to live in a world filled with love and compassion for all life.
