From trash to treasure to victorian class on on 6 wheels

    RollingHomes1 RollingHomes1 commented:

As a Preacher I preach and teach it may be radical to some but oh-well. I teach many classes and was a director for a school. So if you can't handle how I word things to help others, pray about it. This build looks great, but its the way it was done by putting insulation over the walls that shoul...

Converting a propane tank into an air tank

Converting an expired 20 pound propane tank to an air tank

    RollingHomes1 RollingHomes1 commented:

WHY IN THE WORLD WOULD ANYONE WANT TO CONVERT A PROPANE TANK TO AN AIR TANK??? Propane expands 265 times its volume. I put a quick release air chuck on them, fill all my tires from jeep to motor home with propane, then I use my air wrench to break down the lugs with the propane tank before I take...

Least you did two things right. The lock on the back door and the heater. Other than that you didn't remove the metal walls, ceiling and the rubber floor to insulate with poly foam. Nor did you remove the bus windows and put something with stronger R value in. I do love the door, where did you fi...

School bus conversion "Budget Bus" #2

Second in a series of converting a school bus into an rv.

    RollingHomes1 RollingHomes1 commented:

Sorry you are going to FREEZE! You have to remove all the metal from the ceiling, walls and the bus windows to do a right conversion and keep warm in the winter, cool in the summer. You'll loose several hundred pounds by doing it right and then insulating in the cavities not on the outside walls....

WHERE IS THE "BUS"? Where are all the seats customers that pay for the ride etc. When you convert a school bus to a home you title it as a motor home to save commercial plates fee. You want to park in RV Parks but they don't let things that look like school buses in less you take out the windows ...

School Bus conversion "Budget Bus" #1

First in a series of converting a school bus to an rv.

    RollingHomes1 RollingHomes1 commented:

Check out our web site for help. Hope you didn't build yet without removing the metal from the ceiling and walls so you can insulate the cavities then, put panels etc up. AND always remove bus windows to lose more weight and better windows for insulation. Bus windows have no insulation values.

School bus conversion 1980 International bluebird RV/Car Hauler

    This is a 1980 International Harvester s1700 with a 345 gas motor 5 speed 81,000 miles.

    RollingHomes1 RollingHomes1 commented:

Do you move into a home and put up insulation over the dry walls? You did that in your conversion and didn't take off the metal walls and ceiling to insulate in the cavities as you would in a home remove the drywall and insulate in there. Instead you added over it. Take the metal off and lose the...

WHERE'S THE BUS? Are you for hire? Then it's not called a bus but a home or RV. Sorry since the build was not done right by removing all the metal walls & ceiling to insulate the cavities your going to get very cold in there with the bus, windows too. RollingHomes1 RollingHomes1 commented:

Wow your going to freeze in the winter for not removing the inside metal walls & ceiling where you COULD have run your lights inside the ceiling. Your foam will not keep you warm. this is our attempt at converting a school bus to an RV. Its alot of fun and a real learning experience. any ideas would be awesome. thanks.

    RollingHomes1 RollingHomes1 commented:

STOP NOW! You have to remove all the metal from the walls & ceiling then all the mat from the floor and wood under it to best insulate it. Check under the floor for the rust spots then build up the floor as you want to carpet it. You will be freezing in the wilderness since you didn't move the in...

skoolie bus rv conversion pt 3

The generator is in the bus.

    RollingHomes1 RollingHomes1 commented:

Be Ware! Because you didn't remove the inside metal from the walls and ceiling with the old bus windows you will freeze in winter time without doing it right. The foam you put in will squeak going down the road. ALWAYS pull out all the extra weight metal windows & insulate the cavities with foam ...

    RollingHomes1 RollingHomes1 commented:

Why, do you call it a BUS? Are you for hire to take people from one place to another? You have bus windows even. You built it wrong because you didn't take off the inside metal to insulate the walls and ceiling first. You put the insulation on the inside not insulating the cavities and now your h...
