About this user

Rodolfo Diaz was born and raised in Las Tunas, Cuba. He began his professional training as a dancer at the vocational art school El Cucalambé in Las Tunas, Cuba. Upon completion of his training at El Cucalambé, Rodolfo went on to pursue advanced training at the legendary National Art School of Dance in Havana, Cuba, where he graduated as a professional modern dancer, choreographer, and instructor. Rodolfo then returned to his roots and became the Department Director of the dance program at El Cucalambé—where his dance career began. It was his goal to give back to his community by teaching dance and inspiring young dancers to pursue dance at a professional level. Rodolfo also collaborated with other dance educational programs and traveled throughout Cuba to teach master dance workshops. He was honored to be asked to become part of the judging panel for potential new students auditioning for acceptance into the National Art School of Dance.

In 2000, Rodolfo founded Emoveré, a contemporary dance company in which he served as instructor and choreographer. Rodolfo has received outstanding recognition for his contributions to professional dance in Cuba, some of which have been Top Choreographer as well as placing first in several contests in Unión Nacional de Escritores y Artistas de Cuba, UNEAC (National Union of Writers and Artist of Cuba).
In 2004, Rodolfo became part of the world-famous HavanaNightShow and toured many countries around the world, eventually making it to the United States, working with KENNY ORTEGA in La Habana, Cuba and in Las Vegas at The Stardust Casino. Rodolfo served as choreographer and dancer for the shows productions in Miami and Las Vegas. His persistence and strong will to follow his dream and passion for dance was recognized, and the creator of the HavanaNightShow invited him to be a part of the Assistant Director and Dance Captain panel. As the sole contemporary dance instructor for the company, Rodolfo developed his own style of dance by combining his Cuban modern and the American dance techniques.

Rodolfo has performed on national television for the Latin Grammys and Sábado Gigante, as well as local television in Miami. He also works as a professional model.

His Contemporary Dance Class is High energy, loaded with jumps, kicks, turns, contractions, hips and body manipulations. This is the legendary Cuban modern style combined with the American influence styles of jazz, funk, and pop. Rodolfos class is the perfect fusion of technical and artistic expression.

He also teach salsa, afrocuban style, and Cuban rhythms.
