When I look at layering in sedimentary bedrock or landforms carved by erosion, I see the unmistakable signs that natural processes have been affecting the Earth over immense stretches of time.
The theist sees the 'Hand and Mind of God' in the same features. Even having been raised as Christian, by age 12, I finally couldn't believe such stories any longer.
I wonder how two people can look at the same evidence and come to polar opposite conclusions.
