have admired them ever since i was a kid
they play Rock n Roll the way it should be played!!!!

Charlie Watts is without peer as a drummer , his technique and ability to play so many diverse styles and master them ( country,swing,rock,pop,samba,reggae,disco, but to name a few!) is outstanding . He has amodesty that is missing in the world of entertaining .His technique of missing the hi hat on the down beat is awesome- it gives him a fatter snare sound, saves his RSI and makes the song groove- pure genius .Charlie sets his kit up in maximum ergonomic simplicity.His drum patterns are almost impossible to copy 100% NOT LIKE MOST DRUMMERS .He uses cymbals that have colour and sound not gloss and bling .
The guy is agenius and we all laugh at those that miss all of the above.Long Live Charlie Watts- if you want to check out a drummer who also has the above check out Daniel Glass from Royal Crown Revue ( no he is not a relation-ha ha) all the best from Australia - happy 2008 !
