ALMOST HUMAN started way back in the late 70' as a young cover band playing small gigs and parties. The band basically played covers by bands that they looked up to such as Kiss, Alice Cooper, AC/DC, Cheap Trick & Status Quo.

It was apparant even in the early days, that there was something special about these guys.

Individually, the band seemed to have a raw talent that was unlike anything else at that time. Even at a young age the band started writing original songs and always managed to draw a dedicated audience.

The guys ware constantly learning and improving their style and although the line-up has changed many times over the years, the group has essentially remained the same.

In the early eighties, British Heavy Metal hit Australia and Almost Human immediatly found it's place. The line-up at this point in time consisted of Damien Kelly, Luis Sanchez, Chris Tucker, Dave Kennedy and Chris Tennant.

By this time the band was starting to draw large crowds and toured extensively. The band also hosted a few supports with international acts such as Cheap Trick and Whitesnake and seemed desined for bigger and better things.

However in the late eighties, Chris Tennant resigned and the band dissapeared for a short while. Chris later went on to form the band Superjesus.

It didnt take long before a new guitarist was found and the band surged forward again, releasing the song 'Hold On' which charted for over 28 weeks.

However, there were more problems in store and the band called it a day playing their final show at the Venue in 1993.

14 years have passed and Almost Human is back. The current line-up consists of Damien Kelly - vocals, Luis Sanchez - bass, Chris Tucker - Drums, Dave Kennedy - lead guitar and introducing Adam Keane (Master of Puppets) on second guitar.

After playing their first show recently at the Night Train, there is no doubt that the band hasn't lost any of its energy or style.

The primary focus over the next 12 months will be to write, record and focus heavily on the new website. They are currently working on their first album.
