Rob McCoy is a fresh, young R&B artist hailing from the state of New Jersey whose talents range from singing, song-writing, and masterful handling of the piano and drums. At age 5, it was apparent that singing was only one of his first natural gifts as he impressed his family and church choir with his passionate voice and lyrical talents growing up. Although he did have some family support, Rob was faced with others who only discouraged him from rising and putting his vocal abilities to the true test. With the encouragement of his closest relatives, in the fall of 2008, McCoy decided to take full advantage of his God-given resources: his voice, his poeticism, and his very hands, and launched a plan to fulfill his dream of becoming a globally-recognized R&B artist. This life-long plan began with the 2008 American Idol auditions (NJ) which lead to his chain of YouTube music videos, live performances in New Jersey, New York, and North Carolina, and the generation of his MySpace Music profile. McCoy, thereafter, began studio-recording in September 2008 where he worked with the industry-recognized Shy Boogs; thusly, releasing Online his first single, I'm On My Way: a touching song describing his strive to rise above his Paterson surroundings, induce pride in his family, and strip his loved ones of their perpetual struggles--all by achieving his ultimate goal: stardom. Songs like "Waiting for You" and "Played Yourself" are also fan favorites.

Since the development of his MySpace Music profile and Youtube Channel, he has proven to have what it takes to satisfy the musical tastes of both U.S. and International publics through the rapid growth of his fan-base, song-play, add statistics, and profile visits in such a brief time-frame! He has, since then, traveled back to the musical scene of neighboring New York City performing at legendary hotspots, Cafe Wha? and Village Underground. His biggest break came after putting on a flawless performance at a Universal Music Group Showcase at SIR Studios in midtown Manhattan.

Inspired by the likes of Joe, Michael Jackson and Stevie Wonder, Rob McCoy is rapidly developing a style of his own.
