Hello and welcome to RobinsonzProductions!RobinsonzProductions is an unofficial Dutch company, singularly run by Pieter Roelofs.
What I do is creating Brickfilms. But what the devil is a Brickfilm?
In short, a Brickfilm is a live-animated 3D stopmotion type of film, in which you move an object (LEGO in this case) after you've taken a picture of it. Repeating this 15 times a second will give you a fluent type of movie.
Framerate: 15 FPS
Camera: LQCP 4000 and Canon PS sx 110 IS
Mic: Samson C01U Conderser
Capture: MonkeyJam
Editing: Abode Premiere Pro
Q.Why LEGO?
A. Because LEGO is the most enjoyable, most genius, most challenging piece of plastic. Pretty much anything is possible with LEGO
Q. Wait a sec, isnt LEGO a toy?
A. I agree it started as a toy for many people, even for me. But brickfilming really takes it to a next level, so its more than just a toy. I can assure you that even 30 year old, high leveled people use LEGO to make movies or great creations.
Check Eric Brok for example.
Q. Sounds cool, how exactly do you do it?
A. www.bricksinmotion.com
Q. Any upcoming movies?
A. I'm currently working on a police/CSI film, from about 10 minutes. Ive already written the script and Im busy with filming at this moment. Im planning on releasing it somewhere in April.
On this very moment Ive finished animating and editing the intro, which is about one minute. I'll post a casting call for voice acting at www.bricksinmotion.com soon.
I will keep you guys posted every week.
