About this user
American artist Robert Ranieri spent two years of postgraduate work in Rome, Italy, on a Fulbright Grant. Following this, Ranieri resided fourteen years in New York City honing and exhibiting his art. He has since moved to Bucks County, Pennsylvania, where he works, painting in acrylic and oil, while sculpting in the medium of welded steel with cast concrete.
Ranieri profits from an inherent knowledge of the Italian language, and draws upon this skill to access classical art through literature and music. His strong connexion with Asian art, and in particular his appreciation for Japanese architecture and garden techniques, has had an elevating effect not only on his painting and sculpture, but he has also utilized this experience in his landscape architecture designs.
