About me:
Got into pokemon because I thought it was clever using real creatures as a template for something new.
Pokemon acheivements:
Numerous prerelease wins
Has a Slaking with 51 ribbons (all legit, no hacks)
Has caught a Latias with Net Ball, among other random wierd captures...
Did I mention I don't use Master Balls? Unless I'm being extremely lazy...
I swear, sometimes, I feel like throwing a Master Ball at Relicanth @_@
All silver prints on Platinum; 1 colored print (Battle Castle)
Almost beat the entire pokeathlon (needed 1 trophy based on events participated (note: huge number guys)
Except my game got erased because I saved twice in a row :(
Went to the Eon Ticket Event @ Toys R Us (ages ago)
~still picking my brain for noteworthy stuff
I have this supposedly wierd habit of restarting my videogames when I've completed them. I know what I'm losing out on - believe me - I just think there's more to it than ending the cycle and "winning." When you've completed something, what does that really mean? What does it accomplish? How have you grow completing the game once, versus many times?
Oh, and I've been playing pokemon VG since 2000....maybe earlier, since the my orthodontist had a Yellow version in the waiting room..... ;)
Cards, I've been playing longer - maybe 1999?
I got pretty competetive in 2009/2010 for the card and video games, but I decided pokemon wasn't really the hobby I wanted to focus on, so I'm tapering off.
My best card game record to date is 7th place at Cities! (Haha - go ahead and laugh...) Plus all the Prereleases I've won (which I believe are a cheap and easy way to boost your self-confidence, if you don't want to spend much on the game. There's a method to the madness, that's what I'm saying. I mean - you have to use the best cards of 6 booster packs. That doesn't make a dent collection-wise!
Anyways, I'm not really interested in winning - I just like being there at pokemon league to visit my friends and unwind. Competition ups my blood pressure, which is not a good thing
*o*
Even more about me!:
I enjoy creative and serious writing; I'd like to major in English, have active influence in the media and be involved in community programs when I have time. Long term goal: become a teacher!
By the way, I don't talk much in person; more so in pencil (or pen, etc.) However, I always try to say something useful when I do talk!
I'm also a loner (my kindergarten teacher knew! Haha I haven't changed..) so don't be offended if I refuse your help.. I'm just used to doing things myself, my own way. Of course I can work with other people if necessary. :)
Pokemon favorites are ghost types in general. More specifically, I like anything that ends in -dos (eg. Rampardos) I absolutely love pokemon that use Explosion and/or Roar. And yes, I DO like 5th Gen pokemon, so don't try to convince me otherwise! ;P
I specialize in trading (seriously!) on all pokemon games...Not battling, but still!
I love making smeargle movesets... not for battling, but just for fun! Most of them have legendary moves, like Heart Swap and Roar of Time.. (all legit)
I don't use GameShark! My philosophy is that, if I can do it legit, I don't need cheat codes... One exception being Mew in pokemon (well that one's a glitch, so it's legit enough for me! ahaha!)
I know lots of cheats (shortcuts, maps, locations etc...) so please let me know if you are having trouble with anything in the game... I can give you references on YouTube and the web. I won't be getting Black/White, so that's that.... But I'll keep in touch.
