@jezcol You'd be fine with a Hobie 16 - it gets deeper. Another few meters out and he'd be in minimum 2 metres of water. People launch motor boats and go out through the inlet to the sea, so a Hobie would be fine. Good safe place when it's not blowing 35 knots.
