Other then very loose references to Ed Gein, none of the TCM films are based on any true stories of any kind. The "real story" aspect is just a part of the meta-theatre.

Right. So after his wife almost gets raped the first time when he leaves her alone, he goes and leaves her alone again the very next day. These people are idiots. Like seiously, there is no worse place on the planet for a "summer house"!

right.so they live there for almost 10 years before anything bad happens? Sounds like a bit of a scam to me.... and in anycase they seem like real idiots in this film. Hello... a toaster cannot set on fire if its not plugged in!

Absolutely brilliant story! These episodes are so dramatic and so low budget that they are making me think about what great stage plays they would make.

This is like Curb Your Enthusiasm meets Bair Witch meets Close Encounters of the Third Kind. Very odd vision. I really can't tell if I love it or hate it.
