In the early 80's I've played a lot of gigs, as a young Drummer & Singer, with my first Band "LYRA". Together with Keyboarder Steve Töteberg, Guitarist Chris Pegel (later "Fury in the Slaughterhouse") and Bassist Peter Pichl (later "Running Wild") we created our own style of Rock-Music in those time. When LYRA split up 1983, I bought a Bass-Guitar, to build a new hard-sounding Band with mystic-medieval lyric-themes & the use of, for this kind of music, exotic instruments like flute & cello...ATTACK was born! After some gigs we recorded the single "Mouse in a maze" (1983). In a changing formation ATTACK released 1984 their first album "Danger in the air", 1985 follows the second LP "Return of the evil" and 1987 "Beastkiller". With a new Line-up we released "Destinies of war" (1989), but we had problems with our Record-Company (this Cover-Artwork was cruelty)...so I found my own Label
"Iceland-Records" and recorded some songs, to get a Label-Code..the result was "Seven years in the past" (1992). 1994 the complication "Revitalize" came out and 1995 follows "The Secret Place". After the recordings for the album "Deadlocked" (1996) with our new Drummer Frank Ullrich (ex-"Grave Digger"), the album-title came true and I began to retire...so I live till today very secluded in the North/West of Germany. But sometimes...the fire in my heart begins to burn again...and now, after all these years, I try, step by step, to put some ATTACK-Memories on this page...and so God will, incl. unreleased & new stuff...
