Remember, when someone is in crisis and suicidal, they are not in soundness of mind and cannot make healthy choices and or decisions and so, having you keep a promise that can turn deadly is not being a friend and you must be the stable and loving one and help them.
That is real love even if they never speak to you again.
I lost friends this way, and it is ok, because they are alive and managing still.
I also was sworn not to tell with a few others and well, they are gone and I live with the "what if's"....
