The band debutised at the gypsy jazz restaurant Bistro d'Eustache in Paris, 1999. Since then Rêve Bohème have been touring in clubs and festivals all over Europe and performed with many international gypsy jazz artists.

Imagine; a long night at a typical, bustling Parisian street café in a bygone era, Django Reinhardt bumps into a young Frank Sinatra and they start to jam!

This scenario is the inspiration for the sound and music of Jens Fuglsang & Rêve Bohème - updated hot and swinging vocal jazz in the spirit of Django Reinhardt.

Everybody in France knows of the fabled gypsy guitarist Django who became a living legend in Paris in the 1930's, and his music and spirit still live on. With a repertoire of Django's tunes, their own compositions, and jazz standards Jens Fuglsang & Rêve Bohème have created a unique and modern blend of European String Swing and the American jazzsinger tradition.

The line-up consists of Jens Fuglsang (vocal & lead guitar), Finn Poulsen (harmonica),
Robert Pilgaard (rhythm guitar) and Jesper Riis (bass).

The Band // The Story

Over the years Rêve Bohème has performed in different line-ups and musical settings. Their fusion between the Nordic and South-European traditions always creates a unique musical universe which can be heard on their four previous albums: Café Django 2009 (Calibrated), Best of Rêve Bohème 2007 (Hot Club Records), Django's Dream 2005 (Calibrated) and Django Jalousie 2002 (Cope). These albums feature Jens Fuglsang, Robert Pilgaard (guitars), Kasper Fredholm (sax), Morten Ravn (bass) and various guest appearances by Karina Kappel (voc), Lisa Haavik (voc), Knut Haavik (perc) and Bjarke Falgren (vio).
