shockingly some people find those things funny. I think of them as just above fart jokes. Then again apparently people laugh at them as well.

I watch Comedy Central way more than I watch "real" news. And sometimes I do fail to get a joke. that just means that I am then inspired to look the news up afterwards.

When they turn 18 Amish children "leave the farm" for a year or so and then decide for themselves if they want to go back. Most do go back but some decide they like the modern world.

In addition to being a clever and outrageously funny comedian Colbert is really a very smart individual. I think Colbert would make a better President than most of the actual candidates. Even so I wouldn't vote for him. I don't want him to be a politician, because I would miss out on the brillian...

Years from now we'll look back and realize we were living in a golden age of late night comedy/talk shows.

Damn straight Stewart has an agenda. It's to get people to think for themselves do some fact checking, and not to take anything said by politicians or pundits on faith.

I think Its also worth noting that even without the counterpoint of Fox news television as a whole wouldn't be as liberally biased as radio is conservatively biased.

The sad thing about these bad shots is the great plays by their teammates to put them in that position.

the tv clips were a lot better in the original context. You're also basically encouraging us to NOT find these funny.

of course you're free to belief whatever you want, whether evidence supports it, contradicts it, or is ambiguous.

1)In real life people laugh in awkward situations to relieve the tension. some people such as my myself don't feel at all like laughing when we're tense. We need to be at ease in order to find things funny.

2) I wonder if there's really a generational shift happening, or if preteens/teens/tweens...

Your tone is too disparaging for my tastes, but this series is otherwise well thought out.

You successfully point out some inconsistency between the so called old and new testaments of the Christian Bible.

The inconsistencies and errors are not surprising however if you remember and accept that...

wow, I think this is the only clip of Ricky Gervais out there where he's at a loss for words. What is it with Nationally televised events in the USA where people can't take a joke? and i say that as an American.(the other one I'm thinking of is Colbert's correspondents dinner gig)

I adore Monty Python in general. they have a good mix of intelligence and silliness. This particular sketch however is simnply tedious.

The series as a whole is really not bad as sci fi shows go, especially ones as budget constrained as andromeda seems to have been. but it had the potential for so much more.

P.S. it was indeed sooo nice to have the whole series here on youtube, I would likely never have found it otherwise.
