Just added a new video to the site - It's called Understanding SDB. While it was produced by us a while ago (2003), it is still the best presentation I've seen that actually let's you see and hear what's going on in your sleep - snoring, apneas, hypopneas, eeg activity; it's all there. Maybe the best comment came from a patient on our FaceBook page: "This should be required for anyone going in for a sleep test".

Just added a new video to the site - It's called "A Humorous Look at Sleep Apnea" - it's kind of an offbeat sleep apnea awareness piece. Let us know if you like this sort of video.

Just added a "how to video" for our new Skinit product - If you're interest in personalizing your S9 check out the video. We'll be having samples and discussions on our FaceBook page, www.facebook.com/resmed.

On this channel we strive to be the authoritative source for ResMed Official videos. But that is only part of our mission. We would also like to highlight videos that aid in the awareness/diagnosis/treatment of sleep apnea which are not "ResMed Official". We highlight those videos by "liking them" and they're visible on the left side of this page.

We're looking for good videos that are well balanced in presenting sleep apnea, its' treatment and the healthly lifestyle benefits of controlling your OSA. If you've got suggestions, please post them here. Videos that are "commercial" (pushing a specific brand/sales channel), not representative of current scientific research, etc. will not be considered.

I'd love to see your suggestions highlighted on this page

Working on adding more videos to the site. In the meanwhile, this video from Lee Memorial does a nice job explaining OSA, http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kJsjpzYCycw

FireAmos5 - The first version of this channel was restricted to English language for products available in the Americas. We are working to determine if we will create analogous channels on YouTube for other language and geography combinations.

In the meanwhile, Spanish language videos are available on our website, www.resmed.com. At the top of the page near the center you should see a link to 'change location'. Localized web site content (news, language and products) and videos are published in the most popular language for a geography. For example, you can select 'Latin America (Spanish)' to view the web site content and associated videos in Spanish, 'Brazil' for Portuguese, 'Germany' for German language and so forth.

We will let everyone know on this channel and on our FaceBook page as we develop other channels and sites.

Gus - Specifications for our CPAP devices can be found at http://www.resmed.com/us/products/s9_series/s9-series.html?nc=dealers. Patients are strongly encouraged to purchase their ResMed devices from a local home medical equipment dealer for three reasons:

(1) Most countries require the clinical set up of a new device by a licensed medical equipment dealer in accordance with local medical regulations.

(2) Support: Many patients require support to get accustomed to their new CPAP therapy. Those support services are included in local purchase price; selecting an out-of-country dealer makes it difficult to ensure the patient receives the services required to help them become compliant with CPAP therapy.

(3) Service: Warranty claims on defective product must be made by the initial customer at the point of usage. If your uncle's unit needs warranty service, he will likely be required to return the unit to a dealer in the country where it was originally purchased.
