I started this site as an attempt to reach out to people and stay in contact with friends and family. Jesus said we are to love the Lord our God with all our heart, mind, soul, and strength. Jesus said next to that we are to love others as we love our self's.

Are You Where I Used to Be?

For years I thought I was a Christian because I went to church and knew John 3:16. I have since found out that going to church and knowing John 3:16 is not enough to get me into heaven when I die. No the bible says that "we have all sinned and fallen short of God's Glory". I'm 30 years old and for years when I went to sleep I was sure I sinned but I believed in Jesus and He died on the cross and stuff right? I felt I was a pretty good person I didn't do to much to deserve going to Hell. Reality was I found that everyday I violated God's Law the Ten Commandments. I confessed God with my mouth yet I despised God with my Life. I was proud and self-righteous. I needed to humble myself before Almighty God. The one thing that humbled my heart was looking at the Ten Commandments.

The first is "Thou Shall have no other Gods be for me".
I never put God first in anything I did.

The Third "Thou Shall Not take the Lord thy God's name in Vain".
God has lavished his goodness upon me. He gave me my life, my children, my wife, my parents, my sister, niece and nephews, and yet I still used his name as a cuss word. Instead of using a 4 letter filth word, I used God's Holy Name to express discuss.
That makes me a Blasphemer!

The Sixth "Thou Shall not Kill" I never murdered anyone so that's good.
But Jesus said "if you hate your brother you are a murder". Just driving through town and calling someone "a fool, or an idiot" is enough to convict me of that one.
That makes me a Murder at Heart.

The Seventh "Thou Shall not Commit Adultery"
I should be safe from that one. No, Jesus said "If you look at a woman to lust after her you've committed adultery in your heart".
That makes me an adulterer at heart.

The eighth "Thou shall not steal"
I have taken things that did not belong to me.
That makes me a thief.

The ninth "Thou shall not bear false witness"
I have told my share of lies.
That makes me a liar.

I have violated 6 out of 10. Let's stop looking at the commandments now.
So God sees me as a Lying, thief, a blasphemer, a murder (at heart), and an adulterer (at heart). I have also failed to keep God first in my life.
The Bible tells us in James (2:10) that whoever keeps the whole law yet offends just one point is guilty of breaking the whole law.

Yikes!! If I were to die and stand before God on Judgment Day he would find me guilty of breaking His laws. If God were to give me what I deserved, I would end up in Hell for eternity. The bible says that God's wrath abides on us all. 150,000 people die every 24 hours. I realized I could end up standing before God at any moment.

But I can have assurance of Heaven. Because I know something, I know what God did for me so I wouldn't have to go to Hell. 2000 years ago God sent His Son Jesus. Born of a virgin woman, to die on a cross and shed his blood to wash my sins away. Jesus died and three day's later he rose from the dead, defeating death and the grave. The bible says that if we will REPENT (turn from our sins) and put our faith and trust in Jesus Christ, that our fine for violating God's law will be paid in full. We broke God's law and Jesus paid our fine. So now I sing, a brand new song, "Amazing Grace". Christ Jesus paid a debt that I could never pay.

Eternity is too long. Please examine yourself under God's Law. PLEASE Repent today and put your faith and trust in Jesus Christ.
