I've covered every type of news story...from Live Local events to National coverage of the Academy Awards and President Reagan's Funeral.
Last summer, I was honored to be nominated twice then awarded the EMMY for Outstanding Feature Reporter in the Los Angeles market.
I've worked as a news anchor in prime time for KTLA, Channel 5 in Los Angeles, reported live for KTLA, KTTV (FOX), and KCOP (MY Network TV, Channel 13)and covered live events on the web--most recently a Nasa-sponored event--the X Prize Cup.
My goal in this job is to get results-- and to create positive change. Some of my most rewarding work includes coverage and apprehension of the Long Beach Rapist (at large for six years) and the College of the Canyons Locker-room Predator. Both these suspects were apprehended within 24 hours after the broadcast of these two segments. In fact, the Canyon College suspect actually turned himself in to Santa Clarita Police shortly after allegedly watching himself in my report.
Most recently, I've accepted an invitation to join the Advisory Board of the School of Communications for my alma mater, California State University at Fullerton. And in the Fall of 2004, I was honored to have been inducted into my High School Hall of Fame in Anaheim, California.

• Authored a special investigation website that received over 100 viewer email responses. Again—totally without promotion.
• Received phone calls and letters from City Officials commending the special report.
• Utilized all KTLA resources by air (Sky Cam 5)/ground/web to tackle one of the most important issues affecting the greater Los Angeles area. I believe this topic requires a weekly beat. Improved Weekend ratings wherever my special reports were placed.

• Orchestrated an EXCLUSIVE behind the scenes trail of a SEX OFFENDER that caused the suspect to turn himself in immediately following the broadcast 6/04. Confirmed by the Santa Clarita PD.
• Stories picked up by CNN for rebroadcast—most notably-LONG BEACH RAPIST. After 6 years of terrorizing women in Long Beach area, suspect caught the day after my segment ran.

• Coordinated out of state interviews with affiliates—easily and without issue at little cost.
