Was "Jesus" called God?
Although Jesus never claimed to be God, as Jehovah's appointed ruler he is identified in Isaiah's prophecy by the terms "Mighty God" and "Prince of Peace." Isaiah's prophecy adds: "To the abundance of the princely rule and to peace there will be no end." (Isaiah 9:6, 7) So, as the "Prince"—the son of the Great King, Jehovah—Jesus will serve as Ruler of the heavenly government of "God Almighty."—Exodus 6:3.
Yet, a person may ask, 'In what sense is Jesus a "Mighty God," and didn't the apostle John say that Jesus is himself God?' In the King James version of the Bible, John 1:1reads: "In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God." Some argue that this means that "the Word," who was born on earth as the baby Jesus, is Almighty God himself. Is this true?
If this verse were interpreted to mean Jesus was himself God Almighty, it would contradict the preceding statement, "the Word was with God." Someone who is "with" another person cannot be the same as that other person. Many Bible translations thus draw a distinction, making clear that the Word was not God Almighty. For example, a sampling of Bible translations say the following: "The Word was a God," "a god was the Word," and "the Word was divine."*
Bible verses that in the Greek language have a construction similar to that of John 1:1 use the expression "a god." For example, when referring to Herod Agrippa I, the crowds shouted: 'It is a god speaking.' And when Paul survived a bite by a poisonous snake, the people said: "He is a god."(Acts 12:22; 28:3-6) It is in harmony with both Greek grammar and Bible teaching to speak of the Word as, not God, but "a god."—John 1:1.
Consider how John identified "the Word" in the first chapter of his Gospel. "The Word became flesh and resided among us," he wrote, "and we had a view of his glory, a glory such as belongs [not to God but] to an only-begotten son from a father." So "the Word," who became flesh, lived on the earth as the man Jesus and was seen by people. Therefore, he could not have been Almighty God, regarding whom John says: "No man has seen God at any time."—John 1:14, 18.
'Why, then,' one may ask, 'did Thomas exclaim when seeing the resurrected Jesus, "My Lord and my God!"?' As already noted, Jesus is a god in the sense of being divine, but he is not the Father. Jesus had just told Mary Magdalene: "I am ascending to my Father and your Father and to my God and your God." Remember, too, why John wrote his Gospel. Three verses after the account about Thomas, John explained that he wrote so that people "may believe that Jesus is the Christ the Son of God"—not that
New Year's Celebrations. The date and customs associated with New Year's celebrations vary from one country to another. Regarding the origin of this celebration, The World Book Encyclopedia states: "The Roman ruler Julius Caesar established January 1 as New Year's Day in 46 B.C. The Romans dedicated this day to Janus, the god of gates, doors, and beginnings. The month of January was named after Janus, who had two faces—one looking forward and the other looking backward." So New Year's celebrations are founded on pagan traditions.
Halloween. The Encyclopedia Americana says: "Elements of the customs connected with Halloween can be traced to a Druid [ancient Celtic priesthood] ceremony in pre-Christian times. The Celts had festivals for two major gods—a sun god and a god of the dead . . . , whose festival was held on November 1, the beginning of the Celtic New Year. The festival of the dead was gradually incorporated into Christian ritual."
Other Holidays. It is not possible to discuss all the observances held throughout the world. However, holidays that exalt humans or human organizations are not acceptable to Jehovah. (Jeremiah 17:5-7; Acts 10:25, 26) Keep in mind, too, that the origin of religious celebrations has a bearing on whether they please God or not. (Isaiah 52:11; Revelation 18:4) The Bible principles mentioned in Chapter 16 of this book will help you to determine how God views participation in holidays of a secular nature.
John 15:18 -"If the world hates you, keep in mind that it hated me first."
Psalm 118:6 -"Jehovah is my helper, I will not fear what man can do unto me."
1Corinthians 10:12 -"Let anyone who thinks that he stands take be careful that you will not fall"
Revelation 3:22 -"He who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches"

About Me:
John 15:18 -"If the world hates you, keep in mind that it hated me first."
Psalm 118:6 -"Jehovah is my helper, I will not fear what man can do unto me."

--Truth does not fear examination--
I can't reason well enough to any cowards who are in over there head of getting what they asked for.
The part of being a selfish person is only caring about others or other things that has to do with you. The part of being a selfless person is caring about others or other things even though they don't have to do with you.
Sometimes it's risks that move you through life.
When I do my thing, Don't mind if others don't care, just don't hate. Everyone is different.
"People who are truly blinded don't get anywhere"
Acts 28:6 already says about John 1:1, not only using "a god" is can be necessary, but it's confirmed that "a god" was already a term used in another verse to describe what the word was other than being "with god", Jesus was a god, defiantly not his father. Therefore, even as a possibility, it would be "more accurate" to use a god in John 1:1
The bible is god's word FOR US. There shouldn't be anything we can't understand from god so long it's in the bible that was made for us. Because god wanted our perspectives to know that much about him.
"Fools base looks on everything"
If we live, we live to the Lord; and if we die, we die to the Lord. So, whether we live or die, we belong to the Lord.
-Romans 14:8
I don't like it when people think their more important than god, but make people think they are still on his side just like the supposed angel of light, Satan himself.

The WT has written that YAHWEH is the more correct pronunciation of GOD's name but they use JEHOVAH because it is more FAMILIAR to the masses (WT 7/15/1964 p423)
HOWEVER
The WT states that the CORRECT object that Jesus was killed on was a STAKE and they REFUSE to say Jesus was crucified on a CROSS which is more RECOGNIZABLE to the masses. They even CONDEMN the cross which is more popular and most widely known around the world vs a stake.
Now does that make sense? The WT is willing to DROP the more correct pronunciation of the name of GOD in order to satisfy public opinion but turn around and step on public opinion in order to teach that the torture stake was the "correct" OBJECT on which Christ was killed? Is it me or is that hypocrisy?
A STAKE is more important than the pronunciation of GOD's NAME???
ARE YOU KIDDING ME??
***The Watchtower guys in Brooklyn teach that JESUS did Not start "Ruling as King" until 1914.
Yet, the BIBLE itself proves the Watchtower leaders to be Wrong again!!!
In 1 Peter 3:22, we can see that Jesus HAS BEEN REIGNING ever since He took His place at the "Right Hand of God" when everything was made **SUBJECTED TO HIM**.
>>**1 Peter 3:22 ~ "Jesus Christ HAS gone into heaven and IS at the right hand of God, Angels and Authorities and Powers **HAVE BEEN** MADE SUBJECT TO HIM."
So, according to the scriptures, Jesus' "reign" started even BEFORE the Book of Peter was even written, which is long before the Watchtower's false 1914 date.
Jesus' reign started when He entered heaven and took His place at the "Right Hand of GOD", ( long before 1914 ), and as "Reigning King", everything was made "SUBJECTED TO HIM"..>> *1 Peter 3:22 .
.
I could get more honesty from a 3 yr old child than from you... I see why GOD has given you over to Satan and his "organization".. And you'll probably die in it as your destiny.
.
I will answer your question this much: Sometimes YES!... and sometimes NO!
Because you have no love for Truth, the truth about this is NOT meant for you to understand.
.
If the Watchtower Corporation was ever truly representing JEHOVAH like it claims, JEHOVAH would have fulfilled some of their Prophecies for HIS OWN NAME SAKE,, for the "Vindication" of HIS own name JEHOVAH that the Jehovah's Witness falsely claim to be representing.
But GOD deliberately shows the Watchtower leaders to be Liars, by Him NOT fulfilling ANY of the prophecies they've made in His name for 100 years.
If any other group had made all the FALSE prophecies the WT Org has made, you'd be calling that group a False Prophet and belonging to the devil.. But as a Hypocrite, you make excuses for the WT Org for being a proven False Prophet.
Call it "Jehovah's organization" all you want, but Nothing you say can make the WT Corporation belong to GOD.. God has already shown you the Watchtower organization does NOT belong to Him, by His NOT fulfilling ANY of their False Prophecies.. You just refuse to accept the Truth.
Your question is about people teaching "false doctrines".. You say you were speaking "in general"... But I think we should be SPECIFIC because You will be "specific" in what you think is "false doctrine", and You will be "specific" in who you think is teaching "false doctrine".
So, in the interest of TRUTH, it's only fitting for me to ask if you are correctly "specifically" including the JW Watchtower Corporation, in your assessment of those who do teach and have taught false doctrine... Are you???
Once we establish TRUTH concerning your question, and there's no "double standards" connected to your question, then we can discuss your question further.. A question is NOT legitimate if it's a question that is based in a LIE.. See my point?
.
>>**Deut 18:22 ~ *If what a prophet proclaims in the name of the LORD does NOT take place or NOT come true, that is a message the LORD has NOT spoken. That prophet has spoken presumptuously. DO NOT be AFRAID of him.*
What does the REAL Jehovah God say is the fate of the Watchtower FALSE PROPHET Corporation?.. It's seen in these verses below.
>>**Deut 18:20 ~ *But the prophet who speaks a word presumptuously in MY name which I have NOT commanded him to speak, **THAT PROPHET MUST DIE**.*
>>**Rev 19:20 ~ " But the beast was captured, and with him the **FALSE PROPHET** ... These two were cast alive into **THE LAKE OF FIRE** burning with brimstone."
The Watchtower False Prophet Corporation and it's "organization", will eventually be Destroyed by GOD.
