For all intents and purposes, it was a pun, and no more complex than what a standard Oxford dictionary could assist you with (but heaven knows the Brits don't know how to use dictionaries). It's actually incredibly simple to understand, but let me break it down for you. You used the word "constipated" when describing this generation's dance movements. I played on this word choice and implied another use of it, as it is commonly used to describe a person suffering from constipation, i.e. (noun) "a condition of the bowels in which the feces are dry and hardened and evacuation is difficult and infrequent". Therefore, I implied that you are not, in fact, constipated, as that would mean that you would be suppressing your feces (keeping your shit inside) rather than spewing it everywhere, as you've been doing (your shit or 'bullshit' referring to your ideas, arguments, etc.). "

It's simply that, in this context, judgments are not rational, justified nor appreciated. They serve no good purpose, and only cause people to become irritated and offended (our discussion is certainly proof of this). I'm sure the waltz you did at your wedding/future wedding will be flawless, and I have no doubt of your capability/experience as a dancer. Frankly, RoS, I don't think a television show which is, in fact, supposed to be a competition is relevant in any respect to a bride/groom wedding dance which is performed for completely different reasons, as I have already addressed. Furthermore, I don't think that your being British 'like Nigel' is relevant either, although it could explain why you are thoroughly arrogant and critical. In a competition setting it is warranted for judgments to be made by one or more judges, and for said judge(s) to be extremely critical given the nature of the event (the whole purpose is to determine who's the best). It is also an event which has a huge component of relativism since the dancers are compared directly to one another (those at a similar ability and level) not on haphazard comparisons and arbitrary ideals.
