hmmmm the picatinny base is certainly flexing as the rear portion of it isn't screw down into the receiver.. the scope might be flexing some but not sure... the rifle is experiencing muzzle jump from the recoil but not sure that it is actually flexing.

@MrSidekick79 , if the tree is dead then the bullet will plow thru the tree and continue on its path with far less resistance as compared to a live tree... In any case dead tree or live tree -- I don't think a safety minded hunter/shooter would use a tree as a safe and reliable bullet stop.... Y...

I am not convinced that H&H could offer me the same value dollar for dollar as compared to a merkel.

I know H&H has a lot of history but the shotguns and rifles coming out of the merkel plant in suhl germany are pretty much the current gold standard

why on earth do you want the scope sitting so high above the bbl?

the winchester model classic rifles made in new haven ct are far superior to the rifles now being turned out now by FN with that cheap enclosed MOA trigger... How I wish the new haven plant were still producing model 70s... what a shame

btw, as you know, you can put a scope on that rifle, the best scope base being the one from browning that will work with the talley rimfire rings...

put a group of 4 or 5 hungry coyotes especially with alone woman or child involved and you have a real problem... my guess is this guy is accustomed to humans throwing him food scraps...

how would you compare the quality of the merkels overall quality to that of the Krieghoff... I have handled merkels but never the Krieghoff... the merkels lock up very tight... is the krieghoff just as tight?

you might consider the guides choice holster (3 point chest harnes style) by diamond d leather , david johnson is base out of wasilla alaska I believe... the shoulder strap makes it so much easier to carry.. thanks for the video

the rifle stock needs to have an adjustable cheekpiece installed for her when its shot with that scope... she did an excellent job shooting that rifle... she is one very hot chic
