Reed488's YouTube Mission Statement:

There are many random videos on the internet which I feel deserve posting on YouTube (in part because I want to have the convenience of watching them all on one site), so I try to get those videos from other websites (of course respecting the property rights of others and always citing where I get my videos from) and place them on YouTube.

I do not like to think of YouTube as a place for different channels to compete for views by posting the same video, so if somebody else already has the same video posted that I have posted, I will remove mine. Of course, if that person removes their video, I will re-post the video.

With regards to the removal of the "Hit Man" episode:

When I returned to the website that I downloaded the episode from, I saw a disclaimer from the website's creator (small and at the bottom of the page as it always is) that stated that downloading and posting his videos on another website is prohibited without his consent. Well, I sent him a thorough, and what I thought was persuasive, e-mail asking for his permission, and, unfortunately, he bluntly said "no." I did keep the files of the episode on my computer, though, so if a time ever arises that I feel it is permissible to post the video files back on YouTube, I can.

Removing the video files is the last thing I wanted to do, but I have a easily-affected conscience and believe in good internet etiquette, so I could not justify myself defying the wishes of someone else. I do sincerely appologize for your disappointment, but I felt it was the only right thing to do. I hope you all understand.
