THE QUEEN OF 70s POP
In 1971, when I was just 11 years old, Helen Reddy released her first single "I Don't Know How to Love Him" and from that moment on I've been a fan!
Sister Christine, a nun in my elementary school, used to bring 45 records with religious content into the classroom for the students to listen to and to sing. One of those records was "I Don't Know How to Love Him".
I remember bugging my mother for days to buy the 45 for me and she obliged.
From that moment on whenever Helen would release a 45 or album I purchased it. I own every recording, video, concert program etc. that Helen ever released.
I have attended over 25 Helen Reddy concerts in my life--actually so many I stopped counting.
At present Helen is retired and very much enjoying her life as a practicing hypnotherapist. Helen retired from show business in 2002.
Thank you Helen for all the wonderful music and all the philanthropic causes you have embraced for the good of humanity.
