Redanda is a rock & roll band based out of the steel city, Hamilton ON. They were formed by the jam-duo Corey Wright (guitar and vox) and Curtis Hunter (drums) in 2006 and saw the additions of Chris Druiven (lead guitar) and Josh Parsons (bass) in 2009 and 2010, respectively. Redanda is an act to be reckoned with live, drawing on influences of the garage-rock revival of the early 2000's with undertones of reggae and blues, all combined with a punk ethic of performance. Redanda has written, recorded and released two EP's off of the Toronto-based independent label Wolfshirt Records. The first, a 5 track disc entitled 'Expanda' (March 2011) really shows the band's garage style while the second disc 'Carl' (October 2011) encompasses more of a catchy, rock and punk vibe. 'Carl' is seen as a major step forward for the band even though the two EP's are mere months apart. Both releases were recorded with Evan Sidawi of Wolfshirt Records, and 'Carl' was mixed by Michael Keire at Threshold Studios in Hamilton. Redanda is always on the look-out for new fans and larger audiences, and with the help of the Wolfshirt community and the bands ability to write dancey, catchy, rock & roll songs, they are beginning to gain recognition in the GTA. Both EP's are available for listen and free download on the band's soundcloud page: www.soundcloud.com/redandamusic
