Why "Southron?" This term was often used by our ancestors and by our legally elected CSA government during the war effort. It better distinguishes us as a people and captures the feeling of nationhood.

SLMNews exists to enlighten and challenge our people, as well as to restore pride in our culture and prepare us for the struggle at hand for our self-determination. Our very existence, not just our freedom, is on the line. SLMNews is firmly committed to the liberation of our people from Federal control and the re-establishment (restoration) of an independent Southron homeland - in one or all of our native States. That's why we're here.
