OK, where to start...
1. it's a DRESS bayonet. CEREMONIAL. It's not meant to go on a rifle, and VERY VERY rarely do they FIT a rifle. A K98 bayonet is VERY different.
2. The "stuff" in the bayonet bar slot is FELT (and should be left in there) - original, as it was NOT MEANT TO FIT A RIFLE. Colou...
