Ever notice how often, when Reg goes to make a cut, his chain won't move. The chain brake is on. This, to me, is the sign of a professional. He is always unconciously making the situation safer for himself. Contrast that with the weekend warrior noob who is constantly unwittingly making the situation more dangerous while using a chain saw. There is a lot we can learn from you, Mr. Coates and I thank you for posting your videos.

I'm a husky man, but their climbing saws have always been a maior let-down thus far.

the age old question, Husquvana or Stihl??
you seem well informed lol

They rarely get abused and are matched with the appropriate hardware which obviously extends there life. I also have so many that they get rotated often. The oldest line I use is probably 3 years old now. Thanks

Wow, you have some damn good ground man. Those big 'ol pieces came to a stop incredibly smoothly. With the big wood, how often do you have to replace your ropes?

The Crane company we used had a fleet between aprox 90-140ft....with the fly-jib probably another 30ft on the 50t crane. I was just the contract climber so didn't really get involved with the costing. Thanks

I think all of my lines are made by Yale Cordage USA. The colours distiguish the diameter/breaking strength....although variations further exist between the double-braids i.e. portland braid, double esterlon and polydine which all have slightly differerent properties. For more information visit the Yale Cordage website. Thanks

Your work is incredibly impressive to watch!!
In most your videos you use a combo of a yellow and an orange rigging line. What ropes are those? IE: Diameter, manufacture, Braid

Thank you
