About this user

I am just a woman who feels things deeply and writes songs about it. I was not a child prodigy, and I have not been writing songs all my life. I tried not to be a musician, but I feel like the music came through me (I know that sounds corny, but it's kind of true).
I didn't write my first song until I was in my mid-twenties, and I felt like there were things missing from my life. I kept writing, and now have over 20 songs - I perform them locally in Thousand Oaks, CA.

I think music helps us process emotions we try not to feel, and I hope to help someone in that way with my songs. I feel like we're all connected - it's so easy to think that you're not alone when you're going through something challenging, but it's really not true, thousands of people are feeling the same things you are, and I think that makes it easier. I try to write about that in my music.
