The problem with Voivod is that for some reason in the recordings they don't come across nearly as well as they do live. The recordings always sound treble heavy but live their bass is bonecrushing.

The prelude is amazing but I'm not nuts about the "metal" part. Some styles just don't sound good unless they're played with heavy distortion. I'd be rather interested to hear this on a distorted guitar. The prelude does contain the essence of swedish blackdeath.
