Razvan Fodor is arguably Romanian's finest male singer and a supurb actor. He was born on 22 June 1975 in Bucharest, Romania. Formerly the lead singer for the Romanian rock group Krypton from 2000 to 2006, Razvan is now a solo artist as well as being a well-known actor on Romanian television. Aside from his phenominal acting and singing abilities, Razvan is also an accomplished athelete. He studied at the Academia de Educatie Fizica si Sport, specializing in gymnastics.
Razvan is a regular on Romanian TV, especially in Romanian Tv series such as Pacatele Evei in which he played the role of Alex Damian. He also had a minor role in the film Milionari de weekend in 2004 starring Romanian actress Catalin Saizescu. He has since been on other Romanian TV programs such as Daria, jubirea mea and Om sarac, om bogat.
In 2000, Fodor joined the Romanian rock band Krypton. Formed in 1983, Krypton was more noted for its heavy metal style of rock. With Fodor on vocals, the band shifted from heavy metal to a more rock/pop orientation. The result was immediate commercial success in the Romanian music market. The CD album Comercial, released in 2001, featured the video hits Inima mea (My Love), Spune-mi cu ce am gresit (What Did I Do Wrong?), and the most popular from that album, Iti mai aduci aminte (Do You Remember?). In 2002, Krypton released their second CD album to feature Fodor on vocals, Stresat de timp. A video for the song Cerceii tai (Your Earings) from that album was released in June of 2002 and received extensive airplay via MTV Romania. A second song featured from that album was Am dansat cu norii (Dancing in the Sky) which is still a favorite of Razvan's fans.
In 2004, Krypton signed with Cat Music/Media Services and released their third album with Fodor in December entitled Deasupra Lumii. By the beginning of 2005, Lasa-mi speranta (Give Me Hope), the first video release from the album, became an immediate hit in Romania and Europe. Razvan was highly noticed by the European music community for his lead vocals for the song. The video to "Lasa-mi speranta" and the song became an MTV European favorite during 2005.
In November 2005, Razvan left the band Krypton to focus on his solo carear, primarily in acting. As of this writing (Dec 2008) he has been on several successful Romanian TV Novelas including: Pacatele Evei and Ingerasii, as well as appearing in several films including Om bogot om sarac and the soon to be released Un film Simplu. Although there are no immediate plans for recording his first solo album, Razvan's music catalog is still being well played both in the traditional methods of radio and television as well as by internet.
Most recently in 2007 Razvan was voted the #2 Most Sexiest Man in Romania by ProTV.
