@NewsActive3 WFRV Green Bay (then WCCO's sister station) also did a "family'" news at 5 - I did a story for the local paper on it. I think it was gone in six to nine months.

Odd that for Super Bowl I they used Curt Gowdy - who called that game on NBC - instead of Ray Scott who did the game for CBS. Maybe it was because CBS dumped Scott and had Gowdy working for them after NBC dumped him...

I remember when Mancini died, Brokaw read the obit and the show signed off not with this, but with his "Decision" election theme, which Brokaw described as :"music that got us through a lot of long nights."
