Was your midwife doing acupressure during your contractions? If I remember right where she is pushing on your hand is a great point for making contractions more productive. Anyway, I love how calm you were able to stay throughout! That's so important to stay relaxed and trust your body. Congrats!

Have you tried accupressure? That's what helped me with my daughter. You can google the places to apply pressure or maybe your midwife knows. Good luck!!

I have a question for you. How do you feel about trying to naturally induce labor (I mean things like walking, sex, acupressure, nipple stimulation, etc) once you hit 36 weeks? From what I've heard it won't work anyway unless baby is ready to come out, but I was just wondering your opinion on it....

This has been an emotional week for me as well. My friend's baby passed away in his sleep at 4 months old to what they think was SIDS on Friday night. Being pregnant and having two kids it just hit me hard and it's been quite a shock. :(
