Conrad the Scoundral is a new MC/Producer from South East London. Confidently combining references to Wastemen, Wall-E and Whitney Houston, this young lyricist is defining a new style. The list of people he's performed with reads like a who's who of urban music: Tinie Tempah, Katie B, Bashy, Ghetts, Ty, Soweto Kinch, Giggs, Logan Sama, The Wideboys, Richard Blackwood, MJ Cole, Princess Nyah, DJ Ironic . . . .... He's performed at the O2, Maida Vale, The Albany, Half Moon Theatre, Trafalgar Square and in many kitchens and crowded living rooms across London. Festivals include The Big Chill, The Mix, Watts Fest and Shoreditch Festival, and for promoters including Look at Me London, Apples and Snakes, RAR! and The Sunday Show. .... He's been interviewed on Reprezent FM, Real Rebels FM, played on BBC 1Xtra and been featured in the South London Press and Time Out. .... With influences from Wiley to Japanese composer Joe Hisaishi, his music is a cocktail where Grime is the spirit. In 2009 he recorded and produced his debut LP Hypenosis - a witty concoction of beats, rhymes and insight produced in collaboration with musicians, lyricists and comedians. .... He's composed and produced for The London Breakbeat Orchestra, Half Moon Theatre and Exchange for Change and has experience of composition for film and advertising. His educational work includes innovative and award nominated projects such as Grit Story - Still Risin' from the Dust, which traced the roots of British Grime music, and he's worked on music projects for The Midi Music Company, Hiatus, The Albany, New Woodlands School, Oval House, New Londoners and SLAM NHS Trust. He gives back before he's even taken! Instead of writing a cheque from behind a desk he's working in the field helping young artists get out there.
