How many great songs has Guy Clark written and performed only to have them finally noticed when a pop country artist covers them? Too bad country radio ignores Guy, as well as artists like Darrell Scott, Ryan Bingham, Steve Earle, and the late great Townes Van Zandt.

KInd of a cross between "Talk about the passion" and "Gardening at night". They admit it's an homage to REM, and Peter Buck is on board, so it's all good. Shoot, the song is great on its own.

I can see why people are hearing "The One I Love", but for this fan of older REM, I heard "Maps and Legends" almost immediately. I switched over to a video of that song and was able to sing along substituting these lyrics rather easily. Still, this is an awesome song in it's own right.

Whatever happened to these guys? I remember seeing them numerous times back in 1992 and 93 at Lounge Ax and Metro in Chicago. They put on a great show, and Steve was a great guy.

This was one of the highlights of last nights great show. It brought back memories of taking my daughter to see Son Volt back in 1997. She's 28 now with 3 kids. "Can you deny there is nothing greater, nothing more, than the travelling hands of time." Jay is the best!

This song made the show for me as I had not heard Jay sing this since back in 1992 at the Lounge Ax in Chicago. My favorite Uncle Tupelo song. Awesome show!! Barry is a fantastic musician who complimented Jay well.

On John Lennon's 70 the birthday I recall that Elton's version of this great song was the first one I knew, as I was only 5 years old when The Beatles original was released. All these years later I am still a fan of this version, though the original is also great.
