Ratarue emulates what is now considered an old school style of hip-hop, with an innovative, envelope-pushing edge. More concerned with content than with industry driven image, Ratarues music takes his listeners back to their earliest memories of hip-hop. Influenced by greats like Tribe Called Quest and De La Soul as well as other relevant Conscience Hip-Hop artists such as Black Sheep, The Grouch and Del The Funky Homosapien, Ratarue makes his music to fill the void of conscience in todays global music industry.
Ratarues full length debut, an 18 song album entitled Odd Augmentation Inc., will be released on January 23, 2010 . Odd Augmentation Inc. was 5 years in the making and consists of varying topics ranging from the abstract, lyrical and political to issues of love and loss. This album is Ratarues way of gasping for air in a chaotic world and screaming out, trying to not be seen as just another ant in the colony. His lyrical style is layered with intellectual and creative content, which paints a picture and invites the listener to get lost in his music.
