Rare Drop is a video game podcast that covers, discusses and reviews video games. Over the years, video games have evolved into other media and because of this we also lightly cover the anime and movie industry on some occasions as well. Reviews of anime, television and movies are also included in our review section. Our first podcast took place January 7th 2008 with hosts Elias, Mousse Gallon, VG head and Yuen Fei Lung. The goal for the podcast and website is to make our shows, reviews and information accessible through a variety of ways. For one, while our reviews can be heard on our full weekly shows, we also have a separate review section where a user can simply listen to the review. Anyone can listen to our shows or reviews in a pop-up media player or download them to their iPod + iTunes. Our audio reviews tend to be laid back while our written reviews are aimed to be more professional.

Rare Drop began as Vampire Anime Radio; it was a variety weekly podcast that covered video games, anime, cinema, pro wrestling, MMA and much more. Vampire Anime Radio garnered a weekly viewership of over 1,000 listeners per month!

Each of Rare Drops hosts brings something different to the table. Elias is knowledgable on a variety of games but prefers RPGs. Mousse Gallon keeps the show on track (as best as he can anyway) and is an avid RTS fan as well as a fan of Nintendo's monsterious Pokemon franchise. VG head, like Elias, is also an RPG as well as shooters. Yuen Fei Lung is a very opinionated gamer who enjoys fighting games and 3rd person shooters. In the end though, the cast of Rare Drop are simply fans of fun games, no matter the genre. Video games are meant transcend reality for the player and take them into a different world. Some games do it perfectly, others do it well and some... well... not so well. Either way, for the crew at Rare Drop, video gaming is a lifestyle.

Rare Drop has just begun its journey and in time, it will have a magnificent story tell; one that will hopefully help shape the video gaming community and industry in a positive light.
