Former lead singer and lead guitarist of the famous 80's band, the Gelboys, Randy Concepcion, now sings solo. With vintage music coming from the 40's to 60's era, he brings to the music industry his own renditions of classic standards. With musical influences from Chuck Berry, Elvis Presley, The Beatles, Randy comes back fresh --- normally backed up by an upright acoustic bass, and a brush drummer at the least, singing all time favorites, while playing his guitar.
Not new in the music industry, Randy has a "Gelboys" record album under Octo Arts International produced by Bob Guzman of the Boyfriends; and a "Cantana" record album in the 90s under Viva Records, with singer Pat Castillo as producer.
These bands have performed in TV shows like Oh No Its Johnny, SOP, Today with Kris, Penthouse Live, GMA Supershow, Eat Bulaga, Student Canteen, Thats Entertainment, and many others.
A seasoned guitar player, Randy Concepcion is also a composer and a musical arranger. However, his music career, which is his real passion, was put on hold when his busy schedule as former president of a Amelco Desiccants Inc., (a growing PEZA company supplying static shielding bags and desiccants to multinational electronics and semiconductor companies) became demanding. But now that his brother is managing the company, Randy is back in show business for good.
Fans and friends can expect his soothing raspy voice to provide that vintage sound once more.
