@loveyouohka The lug? Not sure what you mean. Revolvers can have full, half or no lug. It adds weight to reduce felt recoil. Other than that it is for looks.

Does putting the index finger of your off hand on the outside of the trigger guard benefit anything or is it just comfortable for you. I want to try that hold but currently have two broken bones in my hand. Something to look forward to next month.
