BIOGRAPHY: "RAKEM MALIK" Rakem Malik Mangham (born on March 26th 1995) better know as his stage name Rakem x Malik or just Rakem-Malik pronounce Rah-Kim Mah-Leak is an American musician singer songwriter and hiphop artist . He first gained major attention in 2010 with his song Girl At The Mall & Mixtape Still In Class Girl at the mall as the smash single gained over 1,000 downloads and over 400 up to prior release. Early Life

Rakem was born in Fort Valley , Georgia grew up in Gano Commuinity a ruff neighborhood in the small city. His mother was a hard worker worked many jobs Tameika Mangham , His father was also a hard worker Miller Mangham . When rakem was just a small baby his grandmother passed away as he grew he realized that really affected him and he dedicates his entire carrer to his grandmother Betty Boone Mangham . Mangham grew up with the big ego popular and had many friends But he had one down fall he had the thickest glasses in the whole school really it's none to talk about at least he can see "says his mother" But rakem never let that picking stuff get to him after a ceratin point in time it stopped he is a student of Peach County High School System. The youngster grew up on sports but found a deeper love for something else Mangham at age 9 was writing music most people say they did it for fun he was actually thinking bout a record deal at age 9 . When he first met a guy by the name of Morris Mcghee he was told that I like your hustle the young kid was calling multiple times asking for a start in his music Morris which is the CEO OF C.E.O. Recordz and also the manager of his cousin Mangham was about 14 at this time. Rakem started singing around 08 or 09 on a song called On My Mind feat his younger brother & his older cousin the song was an absolute hit but was over looked by radio stations the song was almost a number one myspace.com hit for him with over 5,000 plays but rakem isn't the type to let one single get him in fact he wrote spaceship 2 skool soon after all this was around the age of 13 or 14

Music Career

As an artist rakem has achieved many goals such as a top 5 song Life In Letters and a very special award artist of the year he has plans to become successful in every thing he does and works hard to do so. He first met the music life in 5th grade by the influences of 2 older cousins he watched them record and just decided to do a lil freestyle "who knew it would elevate to this" Says Rakem "I was just having sum fun and I actually fell in love with it" Little do people know rakem has always had a different style of music in just the 7th Grade he records a song called "Spaceship To Skool" which was featured on his 1st mixtape "Still In Class" The song was an up-beat new style of music "he started FUTURISTIC Music speaking of the future" But he got no credit "Rakem says " I actually fell like people heard and imitated it But yo im glad just shows me I was doing good About 2 years later he brings a new song called Welkum 2 the future which was also a hit song featured on his 2nd mixtape still in class 2.5 that mixtape got him a wider fan base and more shows he has done many shows for charity & different events for good benefits New album Music For The Future is due to drop July 26th 2011 One day before his mothers birthdate . The album is set to drop from Universal Motown & His LABEL BMG Blind Music Group/Yun & Fearless Ent Which is ran By his manager Milton Day

The kid was heavily influced by Andre 3000 with that different style he had rakem labeled himself as an outkast at a young age he was nothing like the other kids but he fet in ohkay. He was also a fan of music from a young age always looking at b.e.t and learning lyrics before he decided to start writing his own and doing his own thing . As he grew older his father learned and payed attention to him and realized that this was what his child wanted to do so his father would show him all types of music and also his dad told him to learn to sing , but his dad was showing him music from the 70's 60's and even the 50's and duop music rakem became fans of them all learned great artist out of his time such as Journey , The Rollingstones , The Band , Bee Gees , Brian mcknight , REO Speedwagon , toto , steve perry , and just all kinds of music he started listing to country music on his own with Trace adkins . He taught himself how to write music make music and mix & master music he is not only a learner but a teacher. This is history so he sayed real music I love it and till this day find myself vibin to some toto Africa or journey died in your arms it's all my favorites . The kid says he didn't gro up on cd's he grew up on the big cd's on a plank of wood "his words " I LOVE MUSIC
