@rangerchallengebravo This was a popular entertainment in those days. They had whole shows that they called Minstrel shows. This is where Al got started after his voice changed. There was nothing wrong with doing shows in black face.

Donald Novis and Dennis Day are 2 different people. Donald Novis was born in England in 1906. He died in 1966. Dennis Day was born in 1916 and named Owen Patrick Eugene McNulty. He died in 1988.
