I study Toyama-Ryū and Battodo. We have Kata, Gekiken and Tameshigiri. All three are the training methods in our Ryū to help us understand swordsmanship. We do Tameshigiri a lot and that is why I post a lot of Tameshigiri session videos, including good and bad examples for reference. Please do not consider my videos to be "formal demonstrations", I just want to share my experiences and knowledge to those who share the same interest. Please seek legitimate instruction from qualified people before picking up a sword. Respect your blade and take good care in handling it. Do not imitate me or anything in my videos without legitimate instructions! Be responsible.
