BIOGRAPHY

The hardest battle you're ever going to fight is the battle to be just you. When it comes to Toronto rap artist R-Tripz, he sets himself apart from the cliché images and musical content of the genre by simply being himself every time he picks up the mic. Ramone "R-Tripz" Stewart grew up on the streets of Keele and Eglinton Avenue West in Toronto and began pursuing music at the age of 14. He began to make a name for himself in Torontos budding underground hip hop scene and began to take his career to new levels. In 2007, he released his first single "iM Nice." Being so young he took to the Internet with it garnering 20,000+ downloads and large amounts of supporters. R-Tripz was able to brand himself and bring a new alias to his fans as, "Mr. iM Nice." With the success of the song, he has created his own clothing line, iM Nice Clothing and has also started a promotional team. (I.N.F--IM Nice Foundation). In 2008 he followed up Im Nice with his second and most successful release You Ugly which featured Canadian hip hop icon Bishop Brigante and was produced by up and comer, Mr Mury. The song was an underground hit in Toronto after being retired on the infamous campus radio station Champ Radio after 5 consecutive weeks at number one, it also received airplay on Torontos Flow 93.5fm.

R-Tripz is currently working on his first album release entitled The Punch Line Prince as well as a collaboration album with up and coming Toronto producer McCallaman, the group goes by the name Space Boiz. He has worked on projects with a number of established Canadian artists such as Bishop Brigante, Rich Kidd, Peter Jackson, Erik Flowchild, Jahron B, Mason Payne, and Kevin Duhaney. R-Tripz describes his sound as creative and fresh wordplay, thats the reason they call me the Punchline Prince, with his witty punch lines and double entendres, R-Tripz captivates his fans and keeps them entertained and tuning in. At the age of only 19 he has performed all over Toronto and surrounding cities rocking crowds at notorious clubs and venues such as; Habesha Lounge, Home Nightclub, Poor Alex Theatre, Ted Horner Community Centre, Trilogy Nightclub, Club on Queen, Club Hype., Nibour Hall , The Big Sexy Nightclub, Ep Taylors, Durham College and Le Skratch Nightclub.

R Tripz is a true performer, aside from his aspirations in music he is also beginning to get into acting and is pursuing his dreams in that as well. He recieved his first speaking roll as a prisoner in a TV show called Breakout, and from then on has gotten credits in several television series. As far as my acting experience, I've made background appearances for some amazing shows like Flashpoint, Angel on Campus, Degrassi, and After Math. He also made a starring appearance on the hit much music reality show: Love Court in November of 2009.

The hard work and grind that R Tripz has applied to his music career is continually taking him to new heights and is instilling the business mind set that many artists lack, I own my own clothing line, iMNice Clothing, after the success off my first single, I used that energy to not only pursue in music, but also business. Im doing Advertising in college and Im just trying to leave an impact on the hip hop industry. As he continues to develop his career its clear that Torontos Punch Line Prince is here to do some damage in the business and leave his mark on the game.
